What is the Ultimate
Cycle Challenge?:
An indoor cycling event full of non-stop motion, music,
and fun! Pulses will race as teams of friends and family join together to promote a healthy community and raise money
for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. We are proud to announce that the UCC more than doubled in size and fundraising
in its second year. 2008 will be our third year and we hope for similar growth. It will be exciting, and we hope
you will join the UCC and the Lance Armstrong Foundation in the fight against cancer. 2008 UCC teams will again have
the option of choosing between a 24-hour format and a 12-hour format. But keep in mind that we are shooting for a full
line-up of live entertainment, so start getting your team together now..
The 24-hour format will start on at 8:00pm Friday
evening and run through 8:00pm Saturday evening. All 24-hour teams will be challenged to keep their team bike in motion
throughout these 24 hours while enjoying a variety of entertainment.
The 12-hour format will start on at 8:00am Saturday
morning and run through 8:00pm Saturday evening. All 12-hour teams will be challenged to keep their team bikes in motion
right along side the 24-hour teams.
Each registered team will be assigned a specific bike to keep in constant
motion throughout the event. Teams will consist of a single rider riding non-stop or can have as many as 24 members
taking turns as a relay team. We have already heard from two riders who have set their goals on riding the 24 hours
as a solo team! 2008 teams also have the option to ride either a provided stationary bike or bring in a single
team bike trainer. This second option will be very helpful for those teams who are really challenging themselves and
will be on their bikes for many hours.
Gather
some friends, join the fun, be inspired, encourage teammates, promote wellness, and surprise yourself with an incredible accomplishment. Fundraising has never been this
much fun!
